Veteran Lions' fullback Cory Schlesinger has been added to the lineup for the The 6th Annual Lions' Grand Rapids Luncheon, May 26, at the Amway Grand Plaza (187 Monroe NW, Grand Rapids). He will join head coach Steve Mariucci and Lions' players Kelly Butler and James Hall. The luncheon will begin at 12:00 noon in the Ambassador Ballroom.

Schlesinger has played 10 seasons for the Lions after being drafted from Nebraska in 1995. He has established himself as one of the NFL's better fullbacks and standout special team performers. He has been a Pro Bowl alternate the past three seasons.

The popular veteran is the lead blocker for the Lion running backs and has battled through injuries, missing only four games in his10-year Detroit career. He has rushed for 472 yards and five touchdowns in his career and also has added 180 pass receptions for 1,375 yards and eight scores.
